Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. The mother of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her was Argentine and has Scottish and English heritage. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four brothers and sisters, with one coming from each of her parents' previous marriages. The family was within Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria part of London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and that she was unable to learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands and then Hill House. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the school's productions. When she was 16 she left school in order to make a career of acting. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to become an actor. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
